About Us

It’s All About Jesus

If you want to find out more about the St James church of Christ you can click the About Us button above. It will tell you about our commitments, beliefs, and organization. It will give you an idea what to expect when you visit one of our assemblies or Bible studies.

But this website doesn’t exist just to tell you “about us.” It’s all about Jesus! He is the Head and we are His body. He is the Shepherd and we are His flock. He is the King and we are His kingdom. So we have nothing of true value to offer you outside of what Jesus has first given to us - the gospel - the good news of eternal salvation.

What Jesus has to offer is more valuable than anything in this world. He offers us true purpose, imperishable hope, unshakable peace, unending joy, and the restoration of a loving relationship with the God who made us. More than anything, that is what we want to share with you. Will you give us that opportunity?

The Book of Acts

The book of Acts shows us the spread of the gospel, the growth of the Lord's church, and the challenges faced by first century Christians. Through discussing these things together, we hope to grow in evangelistic zeal, devotion, and perseverance as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Church Building @7:00PM

Peace Making 101

The way God's people handle conflict and disagreement should stand out as different from the rest of the world. Yet, too often, this is not the case. We resort to acting like "mere men" (1 Cor 3:3) instead of the "sons of God" (Matt 5:9) we are supposed to be. In this study, we will work to cultivate skills and attitudes that will help us resolve conflict in a way that glorifies God, promotes unity among His people, and spreads the blessing of His peace to all those we interact with.
